In a groundbreaking session before the House Oversight Committee on September 9, 2025, multiple military veterans testified about their encounters with unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), presenting what they claim is new evidence of objects defying known physics.
“What we saw changed our lives — the way we think about everything. It was incredibly profound,” testified Air Force veteran Jeffrey Nuccetelli before lawmakers.
The hearing, convened by the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, marked one of the most significant public testimonies on the UFO phenomenon to date. Multiple service members shared details of encounters with baffling orbs and craft that appeared to eclipse existing military technology.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Alexandro Wiggins described an alleged encounter from the USS Jackson, stating the object could not be explained by any known technology. The witnesses also accused the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) of misrepresenting evidence and manipulating public perception.
“The prior hearings were under committees of different jurisdiction. And so you’re seeing that there’s a massive bipartisan support for this,” said Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who chairs the task force. “And we’ll continue to turn over and flip over the rocks.”
The testimony comes as public pressure mounts for greater transparency regarding UAP encounters. Sources: DefenseScoop, House Oversight Committee records.
