The push for mandatory digital identification systems represents one of the most significant threats to individual liberty in the modern era. Digital IDs, promoted under the banner of convenience and security, would create a permanent, centralized record of every individual’s movements, transactions, and activities.
The European Union’s Digital Identity Wallet, the World Economic Forum’s Known Traveller Digital Identity program, and various national digital ID schemes all share a common architecture: a single identifier linking banking, healthcare, travel, and government services to a biometrically-verified individual.
