Ayahuasca is a drink/infusion of plants, used largely as a religious sacrament. Those, whose usage of ayahuasca is performed in non-traditional contexts, often align themselves with the philosophies and cosmologies associated with ayahuasca shamanism.
Ayahuasca is also known as “the teacher plant” and the “grandmother of all plants” and is placed in the “sacred plants” category. This wonderful drink is NOT a recreational ‘drug’. It is a serious affair that offers profound insights into ones life.
You lose the ability to hide from yourself and the things you normally try and block from your mind. Your life is laid out before you.
Ayahuasca should be consumed with an intention. This can oftentimes direct the experience among specific avenues.
A strict diet is followed before taking Ayahuasca which confirms one’s commitment to the teacher plant. The intelligence in the plant apparently recognizes this.

You see your whole life before you, your mind and body are oftentimes healed, your brain re-wired after some regular use.
Clarity is gained and a feeling of truly being alive is felt, as well as feelings of being at one with the universe and of being refreshed mentally and physically.
Structures in the brain are triggered that have been ‘asleep’ so to speak for years – parts of the brain that are generally unconscious and can process at a level far beyond the limits of ‘normal’ consciousness.
You are able to feel how truly connected we are with All That Is/the Multiverse.

Especially after the session, shamanic guidance is needed for a better understanding of the experience. The teacher plant helps you expand your consciousness and better understand yourself. Some people experience frightening encounters with demons that govern their lives, while others experience pure bliss and infinite love. In both situations, the teacher plant is mirroring an expanded reflection of oneself.
Without proper guidance, those who had a negative experience will refuse to accept the truth and fail in learning the lesson. Accepting that the demons one sees are extensions of oneself isn’t always easy.
In either case, nobody is the same person after just one session with the teacher plant.
